Happy Halloween!

Stella dressed up as a 50s girl and we went out for a night of fun at our church. We also went to visit other friends and family. She had so much fun!

Our friend Carter went as Toad from Mario Brothers. Love it!

Fall Pictures

I got to see a preview of our fall pictures that were taken last Saturday. I LOVE this one! I can't wait to see the rest. Layla and Stella look happy as can be.

Slacker

Well, it seems that I have slacked on my blog posts. With busy schedules and no home computer, it's been hard to keep it updated. I am hoping to have a new computer by Christmas. If I can ever settle on one. . . .I am back and forth between a Mac or another Dell. I realize that the learning curve for a Mac is pretty large but I will be using it for internet, iTunes, and pictures only. I think we would enjoy one. Now if I were doing business or school work from home, I doubt I'd be so convinced. We'll see, but that new Macbook Air sure is looking nice.

Little Stella has been a busy bee lately. She cut her second tooth last week and it's shining next to the other one on the bottom. She looks so cute when she smiles now! I'm so thankful that teething doesn't seem to bother her. Aside from some chewing and slobber, I'd never know that she was cutting teeth at all.

Mamaw and Papaw came to visit us Thursday evening. They stayed until Saturday and Stella loved cuddling with them. Nene, Mamaw, Stella, and I went shopping on Friday. We found even more things for Stella's December/Christmas wardrobe, a cute winter coat, and some other treasures as well. Mommy even scored some new fall clothes that I needed. Do you ever wonder what in the world you wore the previous year? Well, last year I was pregnant but still. . . my closet was in a very sad state for the colder months.

We had family pictures made on Saturday and I can hardly wait to see them! Layla joined us and was a good girl. I was more worried about her behavior than Stella's. I think we got some great shots and maybe one will make it to our first family Christmas card. I can't believe it's almost time to order stuff like that!

Don't worry about the lack of pictures. There will be plenty to post later this week. We have a weekend full of plans with Halloween festivities. Stella's costume came in last week and it's SO cute!

Nine month checkup

Yes, it's that time again. *sigh* This year is FLYING!

Stella did well at the doctor's office weighing in at 16.8 lbs and she's 28 inches long. She has only gained one pound since her six month checkup. Although I was concerned, Dr. Bates assured me that there was nothing wrong. She's just a very active baby and will start packing on the weight soon enough. She is growing in length and makes up for what she lacks in size in her development. He said that she was on target with most 12 months olds as far as hitting her developmental milestones. He didn't have to ask many questions about that sort of growth since she was literally ALL over the room. She pulled up at the window, cruised across the wall, crawled to the table, pulled up to the step at the table, and crawled all over the table. Several times. I was tired when we left. Add in the shredding of the paper and it was a fun 20 minutes or so.

Happy, healthy Stella :)

Only a flu shot today? I can handle that!

Having fun as we waited for Dr. Bates.

Mom, why don't we have this paper to shred at home?

Blondie

Stella's hair color continues to change often, but my blog title actually refers to her really swell tshirt. I love all of the cool little clothes available for babies these days. Stella really loves to play in the grass. She thinks that it feels so neat between her toes and little fingers. She sported her awesome shirt during an afternoon of fun.

No Plans

We love to be on the go at the Turner house, but sometimes weekends with no plans are the best. Stephen was on call, so technically we couldn't do much anyway. Stella and Stephen both passed out last night and I had to snap a picture.

Stella graduated to her big car seat today. Not that we had planned to do so, but because I realized that her infant seat was in my car after I had clocked in at work. Oops! According to her Daddy, she loved the new view. Her legs were getting pretty long for her other seat and a change was coming soon. I just helped the process along with my forgetfulness this morning. Check out that morning hair!

More pumpkins.

I just love fall. I bought a beautiful mum after work yesterday and Stella LOVED looking around at the nursery. They had so many beautiful ones to choose from in every color. I was partial to the ones that looked like daisies. Stella played outside while I finished decorating the porch and had to check out everything.

And of course it went in the mouth.

Hmmmm, it's my name.

The photo session is over.

Pumpkins!

A friend of Dad's from work has been selling pumpkins at their house over the weekend to take advantage of the heavy traffic down Hwy. 22 to the lake for Arts and Crafts. He has sold a ton of them and today we sat Stella in the middle of the trailer for a photo op.

FALL

I am so happy about the recent weather changes. Cool mornings, beautiful afternoons, and crisp nights make for a happy mommy. Fall and winter are my favorites. Yesterday Mom, Stella, and I went to Reelfoot Lake for the annual Arts and Crafts festival. Stella loved looking around at all of the people and action. It was a gorgeous day. I have so much fun sharing all of these things that I remember doing with my mommy with her now. And as a side note, one of my favorite things about being a mom is having a constant excuse to push around a stroller/cart all of the time! Those things come in handy when shopping. After we got home from the lake, Papa and Nana came over for a visit and brought Ramzi with them. I love watching the girls study each other. And the toy stealing is still going strong. How do they learn that at such an early age?

Is this your Papa, too?

Both girls are teething, can't you tell?

Ummm, that's my flower you're stealing.

Hi!

Goodness! A full day playing a Nene and E's, Arts and Crafts, and having company over can really wear a little girl out.

Nosey Rosie

That's the name I like to call Stella. She is a people watcher already. I love how inquisitive she is. Stella can give an amazing stare down.

Yesterday at Wal-Mart, Stella refused to sit facing forward. She had one leg out the whole time with her head and necked turned as far backwards as possible. I finally just sat her in the cart sideways so she could take in all of the sights.

Obviously I forgot her little seat cover for shopping carts. I took a blanket in for her instead. I envisioned her sucking on the handle of the cart and freaked out a little. Ewww.
