Poor Layla Sue

I know I've posted several videos lately, but we've been doing more of that than pictures the past couple of weeks. Stella's personality keeps growing and we try to capture funny moments when we can.

Layla Sue can't seem to eat in peace anymore. She ALWAYS has company. We try to keep Stella away, but it's a constant battle. Layla is so patient with her, but she has to throw out a growl or two to show that she is annoyed. This particular night, we couldn't help ourselves. It was way too cute to miss, so we grabbed the camera to catch a little of her antagonizing Layla Sue. She loves to play with Layla's little tail and pet her.

Here is a short video of Stella trying out her Wee Squeak sneakers that Aunt Sis got her for Christmas. They made her a little unstable and she had no idea what to think about the squeaking at first. Then when she figured it all out, she tried to go faster and faster. :) As always, the night light stopped her dead in her tracks. She is obsessed with the one in our hallway and tries to take the plastic cover off several times a day.

iPhone

So, I got an iPhone earlier this month. It is dangerously fun. One of my favorite apps so far is Instagram, for photo editing. You can use several different filters on the pictures you take with your phone and there are many ways to share them with friends and family.

I call this, vintage Stella. :)

What a Week!

Whew! It's been a busy last few days. That's why it has been almost a week since my last post. It seems like we have barely been home, but there is much to talk about. Stella officially started walking last Tuesday. I can't wait to post a video, if I can chase her down. Since she has been walking several steps at a time for a couple of months, she knew what to do. Now add the new confidence on top of the basics, and she is all over the place. It's so cute to watch.

Last Friday, I took her to Aunt Sis's office for a visit. I put her down on the floor in the hallway just before we got to her office. Stella walked in all by herself and surprised Aunt Sis! On Sunday, she did the same thing for E. I put her down in the hallway at church and she walked up and surprised him while he was talking to someone. What a big girl!

In other news, her hair is completely out of control. It's growing so long as you can see in this picture during a shampoo in the tub. . .

But after a day of play, naps, and all of the other activities of a one year old it looks like this . . .

And here is another I took the same day on my phone that I like to call laughter. Happy baby girl.

Our Valentine

Every holiday is more special with Stella in our world. I had fun hugging & kissing on my little Valentine yesterday. She got a goody bag at Nene and E's house yesterday that included this adorable, personalized Dumbo. So cute!

Nene made sugar cookies yesterday and I brought them home to decorate.

I put two in each treat bag and we took them to Kindermusik tonight to exchange with all of our new friends.

Stella brought home some cute stuff, too! Her first Valentine's Day party. *sniff*

Glee

We have a little fan in our house! Stella can't sit still for a snack when Glee is on tv.

Snow Day

We have enjoyed several snow days this winter. It's so fun to get Stella out for a few minutes to see her reaction. She really likes it. We got several inches of snow today to add to what was left over from Monday's snow. I know most everyone I talk to is ready for Spring, but I LOVE winter!

Freestyle

I think that Stella may be ready for warmer weather, or at least a pool. She likes to lay on her belly in the tub and play. It even looks like she's trying to swim in there. I was so cracked up at her splashing and giggling tonight. She played with her new whale that she got for her birthday. She loves that it squirts water in the air. She had lots of fun and was squeaky clean after I finally got the peanut butter out of her hair and eyebrows!
