Sometimes words work. . . Sometimes a swat on the fannie. . . Lately, time outs do the trick. This is a normal time out at our house. I snapped some pictures of one this afternoon on my phone. I was trying very hard not to laugh. She's sitting in what I like to call our, "that was a bad idea" chair. You would think that her life was over - all two minutes or so of it spent in the chair.
Our friend, Carter, celebrated his 7th birthday last night at the skating rink. Carters's daddy entertained Stella for the longest time holding her as he skated around. She was giggling and clapping. Sometimes he would hold her upside down, over his head, and sideways. She loved it! She didn't want Coby to put her down.
It seems like everywhere we go, that's what we hear the most. "Oh, that hair!" Curly, unruly, funny, cute can all be used to describe Stella's hairstyles.
Our second day in Chattanooga was spent at the Creative Discovery Museum. It was lots of fun and Stella was wide open the whole time. She crashed within minutes after we left! There were so many fun exhibits to visit.
Stephen and I decided to do a couple of short trips this summer instead of one large vacation. It just works better with a little one. First up, Chattanooga. It's such a great, CLEAN city with lots of things do/see. East Tennessee is beautiful and the drive alone is worth the trip. We arrived late Wednesday evening and checked in at our hotel downtown. The next morning we took Stella to the Tennessee Aquarium. I am so proud that we have something so amazing in our state. The aquarium is split into two separate experiences: The River Journey & The Ocean Journey. Both are so different and unique. It was so fun to watch Stella enjoy everything!
Headed east on Wednesday. . .
A stop at Ben & Jerry's afterward was obviously a hit.
Aunt Sis came over early on Memorial Day for Stella's first swim of the summer in her new pool for our backyard. She wasn't happy at first because of the continuous sprinklers on the palm trees. After I turned them off, it was all better and she had some fun splashing around for awhile. Later, we went to Nene and E's house for ribs and barbecue.
